The look at Diesel, created by Fashion Week all-stars Guido Palau for Redken and Pat McGrath for Covergirl, was very tomboyish with a bit of grunge - perfect for the edgy Diesel collection.

“This style is very tomboyish and I wanted it to appear to be anything but perfect," said Guido. "The girl I had in mind when I created it had certainly done it herself, and is into rock ‘n’ roll- I thought of how Kate Moss might style her hair when she wears jeans. The height at the crown is what really adds a nice dimension, giving it a 60’s feel.” The "grungy, sixties" look came to life with a low ponytail and slick sideburns. He created a deep side-left part using his fingers. Once the pony tail was secured, he loosened the hair to add extra height at the crown. For the sideburn, he saturated the hair with Forceful 23 Super-Strength Finishing Spray and slicked it to the side of the face before it dried.

Pat McGrath created a "really simple black eye for the girl who likes to wear her boyfriends clothes." She used Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Black Fire to line the inside and outside of the eye. She smudged the liner lightly then added a thin line right on the upper lash line with LineBlast 24 Hour Eyeliner "to sharpen the look." "It's makeup a girl can do herself, very sexy and easy," said Pat. She finished the look with just some highlighter on the cheekbones and balm on the lip.
