Polka Dotted Manicures at Kate Spade - Fall 2012
Brad Goreski is styling his first season with Kate Spade, and he paid attention to everything right down to the polka dotted manicure. "The collection is very whimsical, very girly, lots of color and polka dots are a theme," said celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann. She created the fun nail art using Fade to Black as the base with I'm Not Innocent as the peachy spots. The easiest look to DIY, the dots were simply dabbed on a little haphazardly to create a whimsical feel. "Brad was saying they want her to have a little fierceness, so her nails bring out that fierceness."
Jouer national makeup artist Neil Scibelli created the smoky eye that popped out of the models fringed look (bangs not photographed). "We're doing a light smoky eye on the top and lower lid to help create more of an edgy look, but it's still wearable - not too harsh."
