L’Occitane Adds Two New Makeup Removers to Its Immortelle Line
By Wendy Rodewald-Sulz / June 3, 2014
Immortelle, also known as helichrysum arenarium, is one powerful little flower. Its yellow blooms never fade — even after the flower has been picked. In its native Corsica, the plant is used in traditional medicine for its healing, anti-bruising and anti-inflammatory properties. It also happens to be the star ingredient in L’Occitane’s best-selling product, Divine Cream ($106) — each bottle of which contains essential oil derived from 1,001 Imortelle flowers.
Now the brand is building on the success of the Imortelle line with two new entries to the collection: Imortelle Eye Make-Up Remover ($18) and Imortelle Milk Make-Up Remover ($28). Instead of essential oil, these products contain the floral water that is also collected during process of distilling the plant. The bi-phase Eye Make-Up Remover and creamy Milk Make-Up Remover leave skin supple and soft as they take off everything from mascara to foundation. So even if your makeup fades, your youthful glow won’t — just like the Imortelle flower’s everlasting hue.
