Korean Mascaras Do It Better
Beauty standards differ depending on where you are in the world, and so do the products that promise to make you prettier. In our Globetrotter series, we highlight our weirdest and most worthwhile finds from overseas.
If you have friends of Asian descent, you’ve probably heard them complain about their straight lashes. Even the most volume and curl-enhancing mascaras in the U.S. just can’t keep their lashes curled up. But they aren’t the only ones. Women of all backgrounds suffer from stiff, unruly lashes and many mascaras just won’t cut it. So what’s a straight-lashed girl to do? Buy mascara from a country that knows how to handle the problem. Asian mascaras, like this one from popular Korean beauty retailer Etude House, are made specifically for straight lashes. So you just know you’re going to have perfect curl and volume every time.
For those with less straight lashes, the results are even better. We tried the Lash Perm All Shockcara mascara and may never go back to American-made formulas. The thin “tornado pink” brush gets deep down to the lash line and catches every single part of every lash for major volume, curl and length. Plus, it works wonders on lower lashes, catching even the tiniest hair. Oh and it’s waterproof; a.k.a. perfect for the summer. You might as well just forget about ever buying false eyelashes again, too. Korean mascaras are just better.
Buy the Etude House Lash Perm All Shockcara mascara for about $14 on Amazon; or check out the retailer's other mascara offerings on their adorable site.
