This year, we're leaving the Miley Cyrus get-ups to the other gals and dressing up as our favorite babes from the past. With the help of Pantene, MAC Cosmetics and Rita Hazan Salon, we recreated two retro celeb looks that are sure to be a hit at your Halloween parties. First up, the ultimate 1930s sex symbol - Jean Harlow. Hairstylist Mylo of Rita Hazan Salon and MAC makeup artist Fatima Thomas show us how to get her look in a few simple steps.

Hair Step 2: Curl Klaudia Tirico
Wrap each section around a half-inch curling iron and pin to set.
Mylo's tip: Clamp the hair at the center of the strand and push it all the way to the right of the iron. This will help bring the tip of the strand to the center of the roll so it stays put. Use a pin curl clip at the root of the roll to keep it in place.

Makeup Step 1: Block Your Brows Klaudia Tirico
You are going to be drawing a new set of eyebrows for this costume so it is important to keep your real brows invisible. This means having to glue your brows flat to your face (don't worry, it's totally safe and washes off in a cinch). Use the Elmer's Glue Stick, with the help of a wooden cuticle stick and clean mascara brush, to separate and fan out each hair. It might take you a little while to get it perfectly flat.
Once your brows are ready, dust some loose or pressed powder to set the glue. Fatima used MAC Select Sheer / Loose Powder.

Makeup Step 2: Apply Concealer/ Foundation Klaudia Tirico
Cover your brows with a combination of concealer and color corrector. Fatima suggests using an orange lipstick on dark brows to help even out the color. Once your brows are hidden, apply a light foundation on the rest of your face. "Go a little bit lighter and a little bit pink-er because they didn't tan back then and the colors were a lot rosier," said Fatima.

Makeup Step 3: Contour Klaudia Tirico
Use a slightly deeper foundation to contour all around the face and to round out the cheeks. "Keep things round," she added. "It needs to be very feminine and soft."

Apply a "gentle pink" cream blush on the apples of the cheeks in a round motion. Fatima used MAC Cremeblend Blush in Ladyblush.

Makeup Step 5: Define the Eyes Klaudia Tirico
Make your eyes pop by applying a nude liner at the bottom waterline. Then, define the eye with a dark nude eyeshadow at the crease. Fatima used MAC Eyeshadow in Wedge. Finish the eye off by dusting a frosty white shadow (like MAC Eyeshadow in White Frost) on the lid.

Makeup Step 6: Draw New Brows Klaudia Tirico
Draw a set of thin brows right above your natural brows using a taupe or brown eye pencil. Fatima started by drawing out the brow with a pencil, then darkened it with eyeshadow. The shape should be softly rounded and extended outward.

Makeup Step 8: Apply Red Lipstick Klaudia Tirico
Jean Harlow was all about the bold, red lip. Fatima opted for a mix of MAC Lipstick in MAC Red and Russian Red and applied the color with a lip brush. "If you have a really good lip brush, you don't need a lip liner," she said.

Makeup Step 9: Add Mascara Klaudia Tirico
Finish the look off with a few layers of black mascara on the top and bottom lashes. "It helps blend the real and false lashes together," said Fatima. She used MAC Studio Fix Boldblack Lash.
