We always look forward to seeing really cool, effortless looks for the fall season. It’s only the first day of New York Fashion Week, and BCBG Maxazria has given us the cool girl we’ve come to expect, but in a new fashion. The over-all look on the runway and in the beauty look was “a cool girl who traveled to Istanbul.” “She’s bohemian, but knows what looks good on her.”

Over in hair, Laurent Philippon for Bumble and Bumble was the perfect choice for creating the cool-factor. Using Bumble and Bumble products like BB Prep, Surf Spray, and a new product called Crème Contour, he created a tousled, swept-over style packed with texture. On the runway, all of the models wore grey beanies folded in a unique way. “It almost looks like a Middle Eastern men’s hat,” said Laurent.

The makeup, created by Val Garland for Sephora, complemented the hair perfectly and “captured the natural beauty of the Middle East with a sultry, grunge-twist.” The skin was flawless with a dewy, satin finish without looking too reflective. Val gave the girls a wind-blown flush by applying blush on the cheeks, forehead, bridge of the nose, and chin. The eyes were smoky, but soft, without any harsh lines using Urban Decay 27/7 Glide on Pencil in Bourbon. “It’s blended effortlessly, so it just looks like a sunset and fades out,” said Sephora PRO artist Annie Mercer. The looked was finished off with a bare lip, Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tar in Clear, and a shiny, black manicure, OPI polish in Black Onyx.
