Belle Fleur Imperial Oudh Scented Candle Wendy Rodewald-Sulz
We love the masculine-feminine harmony that the notes in this candle create. Oud wood and tobacco leaf are balanced with delicate damascena rose and violet for a fragrance that’s just the right blend of pretty and powerful — much like the NYC florist’s beautiful blooms. The candle comes with a coordinating mini matchbox, too. -
Diptyque Le Redouté Scented Candle Wendy Rodewald-Sulz
A few decades ago, Diptyque’s Paris boutique at 34 boulevard Saint Germain sold potpourri sachets made with dried roses and spices. When one of these sachets was found in a forgotten drawer, the brand was inspired to create a candle based on the vintage scent: a blend of spicy cinnamon, cloves and orange with rose, cedar and amber. The ceramic container is handmade by mixing black and white porcelain on a pottery wheel, which means each piece is as unique as it is gorgeous. -
& Other Stories 7:e våningen Wendy Rodewald-Sulz
If you haven’t heard of & Other Stories, the European retailer that shares a parent company with H&M and Cos, now’s the time to get up to speed. The stylish mid-priced line crosses the pond this October, with a brand new flagship store in New York and a US e-commerce site. This smoky scent of this candle from the brand’s new home fragrance line is inspired by the seventh floor in their Stockholm Atelier. Cedarwood, leather and papyrus echo fall’s crisp air, while pomegranate, raspberry, violet and jasmine notes add a freshness to the scent.& Other Stories 7:e våningen candle, $25 (available mid-October at & Other Stories)
