Between blotchy red spots, dark circles and breakouts, going completely makeup-free with confidence is hard – I get it! If you’re vowing to ditch that full face of foundation for a fresh, no makeup-makeup look this summer, a good concealer will make the transition a lot easier. But with Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, save your cash for a round of margaritas and try one of these ultra-affordable drugstore concealers to keep your imperfections hidden on the DL. I tested them all so you don’t have to.

Best for Dark Spots Klaudia Tirico
The thick-but-not-too-thick formula of this concealer makes hiding hyperpigmentation so easy. But the real life saver is the cocktail of vitamin C and licorice, two essential ingredients that help diminish the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone over time. So not only are you hiding unwanted spots, you’re also treating them. I especially love the two applicator options. The sponge tip is great for blending, while the needle-nose lets you target even the smallest areas without overapplying the product. Genius. -
Best for Blemishes Klaudia Tirico
Between the silky whipped formula, crazy-good coverage and the blurring effect it had on me, I was very pleased with this concealer. It’s advertised as a brightening concealer, and although it did make my skin a tad more radiant, it worked even better to hide a pesky zit that’s been hanging around my forehead for a while. Plus, it made my pores look invisible (that says a lot). I’d definitely keep this baby in my bag for touch-ups. -
Best for Redness Klaudia Tirico
Yes, this concealer is green. And, yes, I want you to put it on your face. If you’re suffering from redness, all you need is a dab of this creamy liquid under a very light veil of tinted moisturizer or BB cream to hide unwanted rosy spots. Just don’t wear it alone. Although it blends in easily, the green tint lingers to ensure your redness is fully covered. -
Best for Highlighting Klaudia Tirico
If this concealer came in a bigger bottle, I’d use it as a foundation. It’s perfect as a highlighter to use when contouring (use a shade lighter than your foundation). The minute I applied it down my nose and on my smile lines, I could see the difference in my face. I looked like a perfectly chiseled beam of light. The coverage is bananas and you can layer and layer without looking caky. It’s that good. -
Best for Dark Circles Klaudia Tirico
A good concealer makes you look 10 times more awake than you actually are. No one needs to know that you were up all night partying it up with your BFFs (or, in my case, testing at-home hair removers). The key is in the applicator. If dark circles and puffiness are your problem, opt for a cooling roller ball concealer with an anti-aging formula like this one. It’s made with color-correcting pigments to mask signs of fatigue while tackling puffiness. It’s super lightweight but still gives great coverage. Plus, no creasing! -
Best Multitasker Klaudia Tirico
This is one of my all-time favorite concealers. If you want to look flawless in photos and in real life, grab this baby ASAP. The medium-to-full coverage hides every imperfection without needing a ton of product – seriously, the tube lasted me for a very long time. Dark circles and zits don’t stand a chance, and building on product without looking cakey is a breeze. No wonder it’s the brands’ bestseller. -
Best Waterproof Formula Klaudia Tirico
No matter what your skin type or concern, this waterproof concealer will be your new obsession this summer. It’s lightweight, yet thick enough to cover pesky zits or dark circles. It blends really easily and the stick is thin enough to get into hard to reach areas like the corners or your eyes and nose. Plus, the awesome waterproof formula will stay put whether you’re sweating bullets or doing cannonballs into the pool. -
Best for Overall Great Coverage Klaudia Tirico
This concealer glides on like butter and blends flawlessly for an airbrushed-looking finish. The crayon tip gets into hard to reach areas and allows you to pinpoint spots and imperfections without over-applying. You get perfect coverage that won’t crease or look chalky. With all that said, I understand why my best friend stole this chubby stick from my makeup bag.
