Let’s talk about lips, baby. Whether you’re a big makeup wearer or not, we can guarantee you have at least one lippie in your arsenal. Some people (ahem, us) have more than others, but who’s counting? With that said, we are full supporters of treating ourselves to a few new lip paints for a new season. Who’s with us?
From lightly tinted balms to full-blown matte bullets, these new lip colors boast beautiful, kissable pouts with a single swipe. Good luck choosing just one.
1. Sara Happ The Nude Lip Crayon, $38 for a set of three
This is just one crayon in the set of three from Sara Happ. Each one is a step to the perfect pout: The Highlighter to add illumination and depth, The Balm to hydrate, and The Nude to add a universally flattering nude tint for everyday wear. Now that’s a triple threat.
2. Lipstick Queen Belle Époque, $20
Lipstick Queen is known for their beautifully rich lipsticks, but Poppy King also knows a thing or two about gorgeous balms. The proof is in Belle Époque, a line of rich, hydrating balms made with omega-rich algae extract and shea butter. These adorable pots feature three flattering hues, Belle Nude (pictured), Belle Pink and Belle Wine, for an irresistibly pretty pout.

3. Love + Sage Beach Rose Lip Balm, $12
Boring lip balms are a thing of the past thanks to this Brooklyn-based line. Love + Sage may not have a huge collection of lippies - they have two, to be exact – but they’ve put a whole lot of love into their balms. The Beach Rose Lip Balm is blended with rose essential oil to promote circulation and growth of new cells, and vanilla essential oil to ease stress, anxiety and insomnia. Who knew a simple lip balm can do all that and leave your pout with a pretty pink tint?
If you’re looking to take your nude gloss up a notch, get your hands on Smith & Cult’s newest addition to The Shining Lip Lacquers collection, One Word Chorus. It’s a lovely rose-nude gloss packed with subtle gold shimmer. Just like all the other glossies in the line, One Word Chorus boasts major shine without an ounce of stickiness. That’s a gloss we can get behind.
Want to know what a sexy pout looks like in the moonlight? Swipe on Chantecaille’s new Galactic Lip Shine and see for yourself. This pretty, iridescent gloss is blended with light-reflecting pearl and a hint of mauve to offer up a seriously gorgeous and very unique finish that you will love.
Laura Mercier’s fall collection is all about a light-infused dimensional palette that offers up a candlelit glow at any time of day. The range include three new, luminescent Lip Glacé hues to leave your pout twinkling in the light. Our favorite is the Rose Gold Accent. Because, rose gold. We love the subtle shimmer blended in a gorgeous rosy pink hue.
7. Jane Iredale Play On Lip Crayons, $18
Not only are the new hues of Jane Iredale’s PlayOn Lip Crayons super modern and versatile, they’re also the perfect shape and texture to apply a perfect lip sans liner or clean ups. Each hues is super juicy and hydrating. They’re buildable, too. One layer leaves a sheer wash a color, while two or three provide a truly bold pout with mega shine. Choose from seven different shades.
We’re huge fans of OCC’s Lip Tars, but we have to admit that the liquid lip colors in tubes can get really messy. Not anymore. The brand has taken all of the gorgeous hues and put them in cylindrical tubes with a doe foot applicator for fuss and mess-free application.
9. Kismet Liquid Lipsticks, $22
If you’re looking for the longest-wearing lip color ever, look no further than Kismet’s liquid lipsticks. After trying out the brand’s new Succulent Collection, we can attest that these babies do not budge at all. Each one is made with a highly pigmented, long-lasting formula that’s packed with vitamins C and E for a healthy and beautiful pout. So go ahead, smooch your S.O. all you want.
10. MAC Vamplify, $20
MAC just launched their most dramatic lip glosses yet. The Vamplify collection takes the brand’s Lip Glass to a whole new level with epic glossies that are equal parts shiny and pigmented. A combo of natural oils and moisturizing color hug your lips without budging or drying. They’re as comfortable as a lip gloss should be without sacrificing color. Choose from 17 trendy shades.
Want a model-worthy pout? Estée Lauder’s new Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick was created with the brand’s spokesmodel and supermodel Joan Smalls. The beauty handpicked each of the 12 shades and finishes of the collection, which are bold, creamy and luxurious. Each one makes a statement that’s sexy enough for the catwalk and the street.
12. Chosungah 22 Dual Lip Tint + Gloss, $19
Chosungah 22 is one of our favorite Korean makeup brands. We’re huge fans of their Brow Maker, and even bigger advocates of the Dual Lip Tint + Gloss. On one end, you have a liquid lip color for a vibrant finish. On the other end, you get a hydrating gloss in a complementing hue that can be worn alone or over the lip color for a variety of different looks. Plus, thanks to it’s soothing formula made with cupuacu butter, you get great shine and volume on the go with a single swipe.
13. Dior Rouge Dior Lipstick in Unique, $35
A new season means new Rouge Dior lipstick to splurge on. The brand never fails to offer up classic, yet modern and trendy hues and their fall 2015 trio is no exception. Our favorite shade is called Unique and it’s the ultimate dark berry that’s so incredibly rich and gorgeous. It gives us that Rihanna swag every time we apply.
MAC’s latest collaboration is with internet rap and style sensation Brooke Candy. The woman knows how to rock a killer lip, so what’s better than having her create two killer shades of her own? We have to warn you, though. These hues are not for the faint of heart. Which Witch, for example, is a deep plum that’s almost black! Sure, it’s scary at first glance, but you’re sure to turn a lot of heads.
