Pick of the Week: A Base Coat That's Pretty Enough on Its Own
It's not often that you'll find me without my nails painted or covered in nail art or glitter, but I do have my lazy days. This week, I've been spending my free time at the gym, so a manicure hasn't been an option. But instead of having what my friend calls "boy hands" (nails sans polish), I've been wearing Butter London's Nail Foundation, a base coat with qualities true to its name. The non-toxic, stain-resistant formula has a light tone that matches my skin color and hides any discoloration on my nails. It also dries matte (and quick!), leaving my nails flawless without having to commit to two coats of a neutral polish. Nail Foundation is also my go-to base coat for when I do have color on my nails. It just makes applying my favorite nail polish so much easier and any color look less streaky. I haven't used any other base coat since I first tried it, and I certainly don't plan on going back.
