In Stores Now: Louise Gray for Topshop Makeup
In past seasons, Topshop has collaborated with designers like Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou to create collections for the British multinational retailer. This season, it’s Scottish designer Louise Gray’s turn to give the masses a chance to rock her jazzy ensembles. To accompany Gray’s collection of colorful, sequin dresses, tops and pants, the designer also created a collection of makeup and tools – making this the first-ever collaboration with Topshop Makeup.
The 12-piece collection includes two vibrant shades of lipstick (with a velvet finish), electric blue eyeliner, four sparkly shades of nail polish, a bright pink and peach cream blush duo and a loose glitter duo for face and body (just to name a few). Gray also created two fierce make up bags, a lipstick case and a five-piece brush set. The collection is full of energy and color, much like the designer herself.
“My idea was to design for the Topshop girl a range that was young and fun, similar to both the fashion and make up I wear already,” said Gray. “My mainline collections have always been about pushing optimism, color and fun, I want her to experiment with the product, be daring and enjoy it.”
Thanks to Gray, Fall 2012 is looking mighty bright. Would you add these fun, multi-colored products to your makeup routine this season?
