Pick of the Week: MAC Powder Blush in Modern Mandarin

Pantone's Color of the Year has officially taken over my makeup bag. Tangerine Tango can be spotted on my nails, lips and now, cheeks. Although I tend to choose pinker shades of blush, I'm really loving this standout, orange-y hue from MAC's new Très Cheek collection. At first, I was a bit scared to wear the shade because it's just so bright in the compact. But once I got over my fear, it was love at first swipe. The satin/sheer formula goes on pretty light, allowing you to build up the color as much as you want. For day, I wear a light veil for pretty, sun-kissed cheeks; at night, I add some punch for a more eye-catching look. Even if I accidentally add too much on my powder brush, the color still goes on light enough to prevent me from looking over-done. Plus, it blends oh-so-easily. The versatility of this shade is a force to be reckoned with, and I'm seriously stoked for this new change in my makeup routine.
