Available Now: Dolce & Gabbana’s Lipstick Muse

Earlier this year, Dolce & Gabbana chose sultry Italian movie star Monica Bellucci to front the brand’s beauty campaigns. Now, a few months later, the actress who has also starred in American movies like The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, is serving as the muse for a new six-piece collection of voluptuous lipsticks all appropriately named after her. The Monica Lipstick Collection is inspired by Monica's most alluring qualities which were all given a special shade of lipstick by Pat McGrath, Creative Advisor to Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up. 

“The shades are those of classic Italian film stars,” says Pat. “The colors are very sexy and flattering on a wide range of complexions. They also reflect the lip trends seen at the shows with nude tones as well as bold reds in a variety of hues,” she adds. “This collection of shades perfectly embodies Monica’s sensuality and powerful allure."  

The line includes: Magnetic Monica, a glossy, plum stain; Only Monica, a pink, sugared-almond shade; Natural Monica, a creamy taupe; Italian Monica, a chili pepper red; Chic Monica, a velvety rose petal pink; and Attractive Monica, a rich rouge. Each one is $32 and can be purchased at select Saks Fifth Avenue stores and online.
