Barbershops
The boys are getting their share of beauty attention this summer with a fleet of old-time barbers. Through July, Nike is running a pop-up barbershop in Paris (at 11 Rue des Déchargeurs). Customers choose from looks that mimic athletes. (Will there be a Swoosh Special?) Meanwhile, on this side of the pond, we're seeing an influx of vintage-style barbers. The Blind Barber opened outposts in NY and LA, doling out cocktails with cuts and shaves.

The Lancome rose isn't just a logo. Created from crossbreeding 2,000 species of roses, it was chosen as a key ingredient for its resilience, vivacity and adaptability. And it's more potent than ever in the latest launch: Lancome Absolue L’Extrait Regenerating Ultimate Elixir. But wait, there's a little choreography involved. The product comes with a unique "petal" applicator designed to be used in a series of gestures (strokes, sweeps and glides) over different parts of the face and neck to amplify results.
