Post-Workout Ballerina at Christian Siriano Spring 2013

 

We're getting a look at Christian Siriano's softer side this season! "It's all based on ballet," said lead makeup artist Polly Osmond for MAC. "Rather than a performance ballerina, it's like a practicing ballerina, so it's very pretty." She used a pale pink palette all over the face. "It's more like shading with pink than using pink," Polly said.  She shaded the whole face with a pink blusher and used it also on the lids. She then added a subtle highlight on the lids and the cheekbones and the bow of the lips.

 

Antoinette Beender for Aveda complemented the ballerina look with, yes, a ballerina bun - but it's not quite perfect. A little undone, like she's just finished her workout. Lastly, Angi Wingle for CND created the Degas Delight manicure using Grapefruit sparkle, a semi-sheer scintillating pink that's part of a brand new line that will be released next spring.
