Diptyque Launches a Skincare Collection, We Swoon
We didn’t think it was possible to adore a product more than we already do Diptyque’s candles and fragrances (we’re partial to the rustic fireplace scent of Feu de Bois). But now the cult luxury brand is expanding into skincare with the L’Art du Soin collection, and the new face range has set our hearts aflutter.
The five products in the line employ an infusion of Damask rose as their base — and as their light but addictive scent. Extracting the essence of flowers and other raw ingredients is Diptyque’s specialty, after all, so it makes sense that the brand has applied this expertise to its newest range.
The lineup includes both staples — like an SPF 15 day moisturizer, the Protective Moisturizing Lotion ($72) — and more unique products inspired by traditional Japanese skincare routines, along with a couple of cool, shape-shifting cleansers.
The Infused Facial Water ($55) is a moisturizing liquid essence, a blend of plant and flower extracts, meant to be applied as the first step in your skincare routine. The Multi-Use Exfoliating Scrub ($65) refines the skin with kaolin clay and marble, oat and rice powders.
When blended with water, the Radiance Boosting Powder ($58) morphs into a delicate cleansing foam. And the Nourishing Cleansing Balm’s ($65) waxlike formula (a blend of sweet almond oil and flower waxes, including ylang ylang) transforms into a cleansing oil that emulsifies with water and can also be used as a mask.
We have a feeling this collection is going to be as ubiquitous on fancy bathroom shelves as the brand’s other potions already are. The products are available now at Diptyque boutiques and on diptyqueparis.com.
